Bonding Through Activities and Service

As a member of Beta Alpha Psi, you will have ongoing opportunities to participate in campus and community service activities. Service activities include participating in fund raising projects for charity, voluntary tutoring, and assisting in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program.

Scholastic Achievement

Academic excellence is not only welcomed, it is expected. Beta Alpha Psi requires its members to maintain a level of scholastic achievement.

Scholarship Awards

You may even qualify for an exclusive scholarship opportunity. If not, membership significantly enhances your chances of receiving several other types of scholarship awards. That’s because Beta Alpha Psi looks great on any scholarship applications because of our understanding reputation for scholastic achievement.

Mentors

Each Beta Alpha Psi member has a mentor. In the mentor program, Beta Alpha Psi officers are assigned to new members and pledges so you can benefit from the experience and advice, and also for any support you need to help you maintain a high level of academic achievement. As a member of a Beta Alpha Psi’s mentor program, someone will always be there for you throughout your college career and beyond.

Membership applications and payments are due during the meeting of the fourth week.

III. Membership Eligibility

Degree seeking undergraduate, graduate, and non-degree Post-Baccalaureate students shall be eligible for election to membership after they:

Have declared a concentration in accounting, finance or information systems;
Have completed, in addition to two years of collegiate courses, at least one upper level course beyond the business core
Have attained a cumulative grade average in upper level courses, in their declared area of concentration, beyond the business core of at least 3.0 and
Have attained at least a cumulative grade average of 3.0, or
Have achieved a rank within the top 35% of their university class, or
Have attained at least a 3.25 cumulative grade average on the most recently completed 30 semester hours;
